Christmas Mini-Album

My Grandma and I toured the Lauritzen Garden Poinsettia Show and Conservatory Thanksgiving weekend. I took several photos that day and decided to make her a mini-album for Christmas.

I used Close To My Heart's Artbooking Cricut Cartridge, Yuletide Carol papers, Pear and a Partridge Picture My Life cards, current and retired embellishments, found items, and a smidgen of contraband to put together the book. I'm trying to use up my stash so I can order new goodies from Close To My Heart! The base cardstock colors are black, champagne, colonial white, new england ivy, and ruby.

The base of the mini-album is a re-purposed 3-ring binder. I used primarily the 11x8.5 Elegance Mini-Album from the Artbooking cartridge to cut the base and overlay pages. This was a lot of fun to make and it's filled with love for my Grandma! The best gift to give is time spent together, and the next best is a scrapbook to cherish those special memories.

Don't forget, the reason for the season is Jesus, the greatest Gift of all!

I had created this album as part of my application to teach at Extravaganza at the CTMH Convention in July. Unfortunately I wasn't selected to teach. But hey, that leaves more time for fun and creativity while I'm there!

"Love Bandit" Squash Book Class at Memories and More Jan 17 6 PM

New class offering at Memories and More in Forest Lake, MN. Monday, January 17 (MLK Day), at 6:00 PM.

We will use Bo Bunny's "Love Bandit" papers to create a fun and flirty squash book. Perfect for a gift or for yourself!

Altered File Folder Album Class - Memories and More Dec 8 & 13, 2010 6 pm

We will create an 8x10 mini album perfect for holiday gifting using My Mind's Eye Lush Blue papers.  The "Blue Finch" paper on the cover is flocked. Showcase your favorite photos from each month of the year, fill it up with your bucket list or other favorite things.

Tool & Supply List: bone folder, scissors, and a tape runner.  Cost $20. Contact Memories and More to register for the class at 651-464-3424.

If you are unable to make the class on either of the scheduled dates, I will put the book together for you and you can pick it up any time after the class.  You must sign up and pay for the class in advance for this option.

Minipalooza - Albums Class at the Scrapbook Shop

We'll use BasicGrey's Nook & Pantry papers to create 4 fun mini-albums.

Two room books (a pyramid and a square),

a meander album,

and a flip-flap album. 

You'll receive written instructions so you can create these fun minis again and again at home!

Letterbox Squash Book Class at the Scrapbook Shop of St. Paul

Sunday, April 11 - 1:00 pm or Tuesday, April 13 - 6:30 pm - $15


Create a fun squash book using the "Letterbox" paper line. These books are so much fun and make a great gift. Album closes to 6x6 and opens to 30x12.

Baby Girl Paper Bag Album - Shower Gift

Another good friend recently birthed her first baby a few weeks ago.  Last fall I attended a baby shower for her and as part of her gift I gave her a paper bag album to keep as a little brag book.

I love creating paper bag albums.  They are so fun!  Sew the sides of three paper bags, stack them together and sew across the middle.  Decorate and enjoy!  The flaps and end openings create perfect places to put tags and other memorabilia.  Happy Scrapping!
