Using We R Memory Keepers new Tres Elegant paper line we will create a layout in class based on Jeanette Lynton's "On with the Show" pattern from her how to book Magic.  The magic of this layout is that the main photo on the left page opens to reveal additional pages for photos and journaling using the waterfall technique. Papers will be pre-cut and scored.

Join me at Memories and More in Forest Lake for a technique class and learn how to create 12 different blooms out of paper. These techniques will allow you to easily create adorable coordinating embellishments for any papercrafting project. They may look difficult, but don’t fear, they really are easier than you may think! Paper colors may vary and will be precut.

Spring Flower Card Class at Memories and More

Join me at Memories and More to create three 5x7 cards that when opened reveal spring blooms!

These cards would be great for Mother's Day, birthdays, or any cheery event. The techniques are great to have in your arsenal for creating unique cards for your special someone. Most papers will be precut, there will be some hand-cutting involved in these techniques.

Easter Waterfall Layout Class at Memories and More in Forest Lake

April 13, 2011, 6:00 pm, $25

 Come create a waterfall layout perfect for your Easter pictures using We R Memory Keepers "Peep" line. 

These papers are very colorful and fun. This design will feature several photos, starting with a central 7x5 portrait and 3 supporting 4x4 photos, 

 ending with a 5x7 landscape on the pull-out page, with about a dozen modified 4x6's in-between. 

We will also be making 3 pleated paper flowers to embellish the layout. Papers will be precut and scored.

New Interactive Layout Class at Memories and More!

Join me at Memories and More in Forest Lake to create this unique Heritage Explosion Layout with My Mind's Eye Andrea Victoria papers. I took the explosion or squash book technique and added it to a layout in place of a patterned piece of paper using the "Magician's Choice" pattern from Jeanette Lynton's How To Book Magic. Untie the bows and open three little gifts - extra room for photos and journaling!

This layout features a 6x6 photo along with eleven supporting 3x3 photos. This technique is perfect for keeping those little jewels tucked away for the more invested viewer. 

Papers will be precut and ready to assemble. Class size is limited, call today to reserve your space! If you cannot make it on the scheduled date, choose a class kit instead. I will put the layout together for you and you can pick it up after class. 

Please bring the following tools and supplies to class: black stamp pad and sponge or chalk ink (for distressing edges), foam tape, tape runner, scissors, 12" paper trimmer, bone folder. You may also bring your page protectors to class if you would like assistance altering them to accommodate the interactive elements of the layout.

For this layout, using only basics: cardstock, vellum, and ribbon, I used photos from our wedding 10 years ago. Our wedding was actually rich fall colors, chocolate, red, orange, yellow, in September of 2000. When you print the photos in black and white they take on a whole different feeling.  I've chosen not to title or embellish this layout so that it will work with any photos. You can easily make it your own.

The waterfall of this layout opens on the left page. The large main focus photo opens to reveal additional pages for more photos and journaling.

Tools/Supplies to bring for class:  12" paper trimmer, 12" scoring tool, bone folder, scissors, tape runner, score-tape or liquid glue, and glue dots.

Using Bo Bunny's "Believe" and "Holiday Magic" papers we will create a fun layout using the frame-up technique.  This fun technique will allow plenty of extra hidden space for journaling and additional photos. As a side note, my 8-year old niece took these photographs. It's fun to showcase her pictures in a special layout.

Delilah Tri-Fold Mini Album Class

Using Bo Bunny's "Delilah" papers we will create a mini album using the tri-fold card technique.  In addition participants in this class will also learn how to make paper roses and ruffles.

Recommended picture sizes:  (3) 5"x3", (4) 4"x4"

 Tools/Supplies:  tape runner, liquid adhesive, scissors, scallop scissors (will have 1 in class to share), 12" paper trimmer, bone folder, scoring tool

When the album is opened fully, it stands on its own and is approximately 3' wide.  Perfect for a shelf or mantelpiece.  

 There is also a cute 2-sided tag that fits in a pocket in the center picture frame.  Perfect for leaving a lovely journaling memento. 

 Even the back of this tri-fold album is decorated, so it could be displayed on a coffee table as well.

"Love Bandit" Squash Book Class at Memories and More Jan 17 6 PM

Altered File Folder Album Class - Memories and More Dec 8 & 13, 2010 6 pm

We will create an 8x10 mini album perfect for holiday gifting using My Mind's Eye Lush Blue papers.  The "Blue Finch" paper on the cover is flocked. Showcase your favorite photos from each month of the year, fill it up with your bucket list or other favorite things.

My 1st Memories and More Class Offering!

You guessed it, my 1st class will be a waterfall page layout!  It will be offered December 1st at 6 pm at Memories and More in Forest Lake, MN for $25.  We'll use Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses papers to create this fantastic layout inspired by Jeanette Lynton's brand new how to book Magic mixed with a waterfall mini album:

 Pull the tab at right and the pages flip open while a fun hidden picture is revealed.

This layout is versatile; you can change the title and use it for an event other than Christmas. Papers will be pre-cut.

Please bring your basic class kit with 12" paper trimmer with groove and a bone folder or a 12” scoring tool, scissors, liquid adhesive, and a tape runner. Please also bring your page protectors and a craft knife if you would like assistance altering them to allow for the waterfall to open.  If you would like to bring your photos, suggested sizes are:  (2) 7x9 horizontal and (11) 6x4 vertical.  Yes, it really holds 13 photos!

On a personal note:  These photos were taken Christmas 2009 at my parent's home.  The kids were all spoiled beyond repair and then we come back home to crash for the night.  We have so much to be thankful for!  My Mom made a beautiful quilt for my darling daughter Lucy.  The two big pictures are just after Lucy opened the wonderful gift.  My Mom is AMAZING!  This was her first attempt at creating a quilt, and it is a queen size, created in under 2 month's, along with shams, a bed skirt, a warm window, and painting Lucy's room to match.  Thanks Mom!
