Party Favor Cake

Our little Lucy turned 4 years old last weekend and we partied it up! We spent Friday night and Saturday at a waterpark hotel with family and had a girlfriend gymnastics party on Sunday afternoon. What a weekend! I am way to old to party like a 4-year old! Luckily, she has energy enough for all of us!

My good friend came over Saturday and we put together this little party favor cake for Lucy's girlfriend gymnastics party.  We used an old pack of papers, the Cricut Expression, and the Tags Bags Boxes and More cartridge.  It was easy, once we picked the papers!

We cut the pieces of cake each out of a whole 12x12 sheet of paper.  There are 20 pieces in all.  They contain the party favors!  The kids demolished the cake in no time flat, once I told them what was in the pieces.  It was like a swarm descended and all that was left was the bow; and a bunch of cute kids wearing party favor sunglasses, eating fruities, and blowing bubbles.

The bow was made by cutting 3/4" strips, with a pinking blade, of the remaining edge of the papers.  Then I sewed through both ends and used a button to tie off the top.  It was a piece of cake!
